Germany and Spain send 51 companies to International Luanda Fair in 2010   [ 2010-07-20 ]

Luanda, Angola, 20 July – Germany and Spain, two countries that usually take part in the International Luanda Fair (Filda), are taking part in the 27th edition, which is due to begin Tuesday, with 27 and 24 companies, respectively, the fair’s organisers said Monday.

For this year’s edition, the two countries have sent eight more companies (in Germany’s case) and two more companies (in Spain’s case), as a fair that will be dominated, in terms of foreign companies, by Portugal, which has 107 companies taking part.

Filda 2010 will have companies from Austria, Argentina, China, Cuba, USA, Czech Republic, Spain, United Arab Emirates (Dubai), France, United Kingdom, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, and Brazil, which is taking 40 companies to the fair.

The 27th edition of the International Luanda Fair, which will run from Tuesday until 25 July under the theme, “Manufacturing Industry, an essential focus for the macroeconomic stability of Angola,” will be participated by a total of 33 countries.

At last year’s edition Portugal won the “official representation” prize beating Spain in terms of number of companies participating.

Filda is a business fair that every year since 1983 has brought together national and foreign entrepreneurs to exhibit their products and services, as well as to contact potential business partners. (macauhub)
